About
I used to be a stay at home housewife, not one of those Instagram tradwives or anything, just someone in the privileged position of being able to stay home when her children were small. This blog was for my recipes and thoughts at that time.
I’m not any more, I’m an education academic. I’m still baking biscuits every weekend and making the occasional pot of jam. The kids are big and are having their own adventures. I’m now using this blog occasionally when I’ve got a big trip on, and am currently seriously thinking about using it to document my circus adventures. Let me know what you think, or dig into the archives for cooking and jewellery making musings.

but where’s the bead?
Love your Kale post too – ironically I cooked it for the first time tonight!
My tip … try frying with salt and butter you’ll never be disappointed especially if you use the culinary disguise of LOTS of salt and butter 🙂

Heyya. I nominated you for The Versatile Blogger Award, check it out here: http://hazelawkitreviews.wordpress.com/2013/03/08/the-versatile-blogger-award/. Good day! c”,
Oh, er, thanks!
Thank you for this fantastic recipe. I have shared it with many via
http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php and Facebook. Hope you don’t mind. I certainly did give you credit.
Thanks! Currently lurking quite a bit on the Thermomix forums, still have my novice hat on.
Hi! I saw you on another bloggers comment section and wanted to say Hi! I am a Melanoma Warrior too! I was stage 3a and also did the year of Interferon with 3 small children! It was rough. I went on to have more children and that was 11 yrs ago. I love meeting fellow survivors and just wanted to say Hi and I’m happy you are well.
Hi to you too, and I am likewise always delighted to hear survival stories. I’m pretty sure they don’t offer that regime any more, much progress is being made!
Dear muttering housewife
You haven’t posted for six years as far as I can tell but I only just found you by accident when looking for a recipe for hazelnut Brutti ma buoni.
From the recipe I ended up here and it looks like there’s a post a couple of times a year? I’ll have to try and get back to where I saw the recipe so suspect you have more parts there.
I just walked to say that you made me laugh and I think we could’ve been friends!
cheers and thanks for the blogs
